Files you process

MakerCrest is designed to process many image and PDF files locally in your browser. When a tool operates locally, the selected file is not intentionally uploaded to MakerCrest servers for processing.

Software libraries

Required production software libraries are self-hosted by MakerCrest where practical. File-processing tools are designed to perform their work locally in your browser unless a tool specifically states otherwise.

Website analytics and advertising

This pre-launch build does not yet include production analytics or advertising. If analytics, advertising, consent tools or other services are added before launch, this policy will be updated to describe them accurately.

Metadata

Some tools intentionally remove image metadata by creating a new image file. Other conversion tools may also omit metadata as a side effect of browser re-encoding. Do not rely on a tool to remove sensitive information unless that tool specifically states that it does so.

Security

No browser tool can eliminate every security risk. Avoid processing files you do not trust, keep your browser updated, and verify downloaded output before submitting it to an important service.
