BASIC OPTIMIZER

Compress PDF

Try a safe structural optimization without deliberately lowering page image quality.

This basic optimizer does not recompress embedded page images. Some PDFs are already efficient and cannot be made smaller safely with this method.

Honest compression behavior

  • If the optimized PDF is smaller, MakerCrest enables the download.
  • If it is the same size or larger, the tool keeps your original untouched and tells you no useful reduction was found.
  • A later advanced compression mode may trade image quality for size; that is intentionally not included in this safe/basic launch scope.

How to use Compress PDF

Quick steps

  1. Choose a PDF you want to optimize.
  2. Run the safe/basic optimizer.
  3. Compare original and output sizes; download the optimized PDF only when it is smaller.

Supported files & limits

Maximum input size is 150 MB. This launch version does not aggressively recompress embedded images, so some PDFs will not become smaller.

Privacy & processing

The PDF is processed in your browser. MakerCrest does not intentionally upload it for server-side compression.
